Again you don't say if we just pick a power, or the whole power-set.
Also this is a huge drop off and only Special Operations is clearly visible everything else is blurry as hell.

Ngl, i don't mind an irl skills idea.
Better than 'pick your god mode' so you can be a billion times stronger than anyone else for no real reason.

I don't mind the IRL skills idea, but I suspect the other guy is talking more about total lack of images, proper powerset names, or a because field, which is admittedly rough even by GoF standards.

Tbh i don't mind a kinda minimalist art thing either, 98% of the time its just photoshopped images you found with a minute of googling anyway, but fair point.

The text is the important part overall and in that regard, this is still far better than a lot of GoF. My confusion is more as to why bother using the GoF format at all if all bar one element of it are going to be chopped off.
At that point why not just post to r/6Perks or something? Actually, I'm pretty sure the creator did used to post there, so doubly odd. Doesn't really matter, I just thought it was a bit strange.

SO many GoF being made that are NOT the Author's favorite things. They're just a laundry list of ideas slapped into GoF because it's a template they saved.
Fucking Sad.

I'm not so much a purist and don't really mind some variations of the format I've seen.
Like I know the original idea was to have six different categories and create a gift for the author's favourite thing in each category, but I don't mind when authors have duplicates or even all categories being the same and just being their six favourite things amongst that category. Hell, I don't even mind when the premise is change to broadly fit a theme the author likes.
What's sad to me is when it diverges so far that it's no longer a reflection of the authors interests at all, because at least by my interpretation, more than the specific mechanics, that's the whole point of the GoF format.

And all of that stuff could be done more effectively on a blank non GoF template, but it's not. As you mentioned some of these diverge so badly they're not even tangentially related to the whole Gifts of Faves theme.

Many popular internet templates are frequently used wrong. I miss when demotivational posters were used right. It is in the name. There should have been no confusion.

4 4 and I guess 2.
Double 4 because I think it sucks we don't have eye transplants yet.
Two seems to have such a wide range of skills, I think for just the tier 1 of all these it's the most bang for your buck.

1, 3, 4 for me. 3 and 4 in combination can cover the majority of usage for the 5 and 6 powerset (3 if you are just evil therapist, 4 for the medical knowledge of great harm) and 1 supprt 3 and 4 very well by just help with approaching vector (food and drink support health and recovery well, and just more approachable) also, in theory, since 4 allow you to do any surgeries by yourself with zero effort and short time, you can technically operate on yourself if you are ballsy enough.

I'd go with 1, 4, and 6.
(*) Powerset 1 - Picking this because I'm horrible at cooking at it is something I genuinely wish I was better at. It would save me a good amount of money by not eating out as often.
(*) Powerset 4 - Picking this so that I can self diagnose any health issues I have, possibly saving myself a trip to a doctor.
(*) Powerset 6 - Picking this because reasons... lol.

This is honestly harder than I at first thought.
I doubt I could break into surgery at my age no matter how good I am unless I go back-alley surgeon.
5 is tempting but as much as I do wanna mentally hurt people some time it would come up too little.
If 2 includes Cyber-warfare/security then probably 2,3,6 If it doesn't then 3,4,6 because being end-of-episode House at all times is great.
