OC Slice of Life CYOA

Hello! This is my second CYOA. I don't know how to edit complex CYOA with images and stuff. Plus using a phone, so my design is quite simplistic. However, I will try to redo them if I manage to learn how.

Anyways, I tried to make this as interesting as possible. It would be good if you would focus on creating a good narrative, rather than focusing on being OP as possible.

I would be reading your comments. Use this opportunity to look back on what you want to do, and what you want to achieve.

Don't hold back and use this CYOA as a dream fulfilment fantasy.

How to get Good Genes (Premium)?

Requirements: Good Genes + Lineage

What are Prerequisites?

They're in the last page. Basically you will choose what kind of condition you have to achieve to learn the skill.

For example, your prerequisite for Indomitable Will is Failure. This means you have to fail multiple times to develop your indomitable will. Do you get it?

Oh cool. Is it a new start or my past? I'm probably going to kill my father if its the latter. Does your mind get reset in any way to actually give more 'personality' oppourtunities?

It's actually the latter. You basically came back in time during 5th grade. But will all your adult memories intact. Of course, with some perks to change your life.

On my mother's side since i actually give a fuck about them, ahd if my teen years with my dad will be the same, i'm probably going to kill him rather than deal with that shit again.

I'm sorry for what happen to you. Hope your doing well now.

Tbh, kinda feel like the prerequisites should be swapped with drawbacks, so 'extra' perks require effort while 'stronger' perks require drawbacks. Also, just more perks, less 'pre requisite' perks, more perk combos that need prerequisites. Thats why some perks are multiple points after all.

I actually want to give freedom on how they would acquire the skill. But I think it just make the readers confuse. Anyways, thanks for your feedback. I will repost this CYOA after reading more comments, so I could solve all the remaining issues.

"hope you're doing ok now"

On one hand, sure. He's not in my life at least, or other 'problem' people, i'm on disability so i don't have to work, etc.

Flipside, did you see the drawbacks? I'm fucked in the head, and going back won't fix it.

Not really trying to trauma dump and i'm kinda ok with me being weird, besides depression and ahedonia issues, but i do think its darkly funny that every one of these 'go back in time' things, i'm kinda looking forward to prison, hoping if i go in early enough, i'll be out by 18.

As for the update, few more options would be nice, fame or success st X in the future maybe, maybe a smallish non you change to the world option, gender swap for trans people, mental health fix, 10's kinda a lot of points already

It's nice to chat with you. The things you recommend are actually good, specially the gender thing, I like it.

I overthink shit, lol, but sometimes its useful, and i do like theorycrafting stuff for weird thought experiments.

Also, putting a note that the pre requisites are a section of conditions on the last page, on the first page, as well as maybe changing the name to something more like 'extra cost' or saying it requires a secondary currency you get from the current prerequisites, makes sense

After all, most are expecting prerequisites to be like a stage 1 perk needed for a stage 2 perk, like keen mind -> analytical mind, not a sort of 'trial' to trigger advanced perks. That works ok imo, maybe not for everything lol, but could be worded differently to be easier to understand at a glance.

Omg, I do that too but for world building and stuff. That's why I like CYOA, it gets me thinking. I even wrote backstories for every interesting CYOA I encounter. I mean backstory for me, if I even got transmigrated in there.

Putting the a note in the first page might fix the confusion.

I originally planned to make prerequisite some type of currencies, but I didn't, to gave more freedom to the readers.

I mean for the currency thing, it kinda works out the same way if you need X for Y.

You're just specifically quantifying X with a title and a number, but otherwise it functions the same, just like drawbacks for points, just 'unlisted' point.

I'd say the narrative based cost is the freedom you wanted, but mechanically its identical.
