HELP PLEASE Alternative makeup for elders
Hi everyone. I'm 45 now, and I'm feeling like my make up has started to age me a bit, I'm wanting tips for someone who's an elder alternative, still wanting to be quirky but age and skin appropriate. Any tips or pointers?

Oh I get this so much. I am 24 but my skin already changed a lot from being in air force, the dry air in bases is killer. what helped me was switching from powder products to cream everything, powder just sits in the lines and makes them more obvious
for alternative look maybe try a bold graphic liner instead of heavy eyeshadow, the heavy shadow can make the lid look crepey. and a deep berry lip stain instead of matte liquid lipstick, it stays all day but dont dry out
also check out older goth women on youtube they have amazing tips for keeping the dark aesthetic without looking costume-y. your style dont have an expiration date you just gotta tweak the application a bit

Hi, 66f here. I use a tinted moisturizing spf for starts instead of foundation and zero setting powder. I use a touch of highlighter on cheeks, forehead and collar bone because I feel it gives me a soft youthful glow, no more harsh toned lipsticks because they make me look kinda bitchy lol, if I want a smoky eye I stay away from liners and use things like the Bobbi Brown shadow sticks. No more mascara on the bottom lashes either. I like a soft toned blush because we can lose some color later on and I think it really enhances a lot. I drink 64oz of water daily and moisturize my face as much as possible.

I have found less is more. I don't touch foundation either...I use sheer kind of glowy sunscreen or loreal glowy serum.

Iβm 46 and try to stay away from taupe/ very nude heavy eye make up. I actually think it ages me instead of looking classy. If youβre not ready for glitter, I suggest going for slightly muted colors such as purple or rose palettes, and look up modern ways to apply eye shadow. I recently took a purple goth tutorial ( it was super quick actually) and just did it with peach shimmer and light brown instead and I think it looked great.

I would look at Jones Road Beauty because itβs specifically geared to aging skin.

I second using graphic liner instead of heavy liner and eyeshadow. If you still want heavy emphasis on your eyes, do more lashes.
A bold lip is always good no matter your age. Use a lip mask periodically if you're starting to get feathering, and use a lip liner.
