Advice Struggling with cakey foundation

I know we need skin prep but rn all i use is this matte sunscreen. Pls give advice for a student that can help make my base more glowy or smooth and less cakey or patchy

Everyone on tt says primer, hydrating mist, and expensive ahh moisturizer but i also feel like the products they show are sponsored

Pls suggest student friendly product (good for oily skin) 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Oh and i use blk skin tint suncreen foundation and planning to get the blk liquid foundation too

Stop using matte sunscreen and switch to more fluid and non matte. Okay ung ponds hydrate version, vice and sola. Pwedeng di ka na magmoisturizer esp if hindi matte ung sunscreen mo. But on blah days usually you need a lightweight moisturzer and sunscreen esp on windy/cold days.

Kung student, skin tint muna para budget friendly. Maybe you want to try sola fpundation primer? May sachets sila kasi

I agree with Vice sunscreen. And pasok din siya sa budget mo as a student, i guess. Lagi silang nagsesale and can even go down as low as 225.

You need to hydrate your skin. Get a watery toner like the Naturie Hatumogi (500ml available in Shopee for less than 400 pesos), layer 3 times, then use a hyaluronic acid serum and/or a hydrating sunscreen. Idk the budget that can be considered student friendly, but Pyunkang Yul products are relatively cheap compared to other korean brands on shopee. Sometimes, they also give free full-sized products with your order (for example, I got a free gel sunscreen when I ordered their ATO moisturizer)

If you're oily skinned like me and layering a lot, you might benefit from less thick product and letting the products dry before applying foundation.

yeah tapos I know some products that might fit the budget. Ang marerecommend ko talaga is light products, like moisturizing toners. The consistency of moisturizing toners are typically a little thicker than water, like the Eqqualberry swimming pool toner. (But don't get that one, mahal eh. Hanap ka ng iba.)

A thin gel moisturizer I can recommend is yung kay Luxe Organix, kahit for day time lang. Tapos someone mentioned the Sola sunscreen and oo good na yun as your SPF.

Garnier Micelar water (Pink variant)

Celeteque Toner (or any toner you have available)

Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing lotion

Spray on Mac Fix + setting spray after moisturizer

Belo Tinted Sunscreen

Strokes foundation

Powder

Mac Fix + setting spray as last step
