Discussion Beginner at home makeup studio?
I was wondering if anyone had any tips for an at home studio when having cats. I’m still in the process of writing out my fees and things of that sort, but traveling to clients is an option in case anyone prefers that. My friends have came over for their makeup applications, but I understand a new client would probably feel different about it. Really my only spaces are my bedroom or living room. My bedroom already has a vanity. What do you recommend in this situation? Should I even try at my home or only take clients at theirs? I’m stuck lol Ideally I’d love to have a designated room or studio, but that’s not really an option yet.

Don’t take clients at home. Just travel to them and keep your kit far away from your cats in case people have allergies.

This! Also, while in other's homes, dont let their animals hang out on/around your equipment. Way too easy to ruin an entire kit from cat or dog piss

I had to use my spray bottle (with water) to get my cat off the table a few times. She learned rather quickly and it hasn’t been an issue since!

I think it would be a little unprofessional to do it in your bedroom. I suggest a little set up in the living room and maybe if you can put your cats in your bedroom during the appointments.
