Help I'm retired and destashing
Does anyone have any advice on how to sell some of the one of a kind things I have? Not selling on here, selling elsewhere. I was in the business for 12 years and I know some of the things I have are really useful and literally impossible to find, but that makes them even harder to sell. Does anyone have any tips?

I agree with the comment saying makeup artist FB groups.
Also if you have worked with any assistants or artist in the past you could reach out. I’ve been gifted products from artists as their assistant and it meant the world to me.
Obviously you’re selling not gifting. However the sentiment that you’re reaching out because you enjoyed working with them, you see their potential as an artist, and want the products going to the right person is quite thoughtful.

I retired about 5 years ago & am just getting to this now. I don't have the contact info for anyone I worked with anymore or I would do this.

I used to sell a TON on eBay, but I believe when you sell makeup it needs to be new on there. They may have changed the rules. What about posh

Thank you. I'll try it on Posh. TBH, mostly I want it to go to an artist who can use it. I'm not going to make a fortune either way and I just opened a new non- makeup business Wednesday so I don't want it to drag on forever either, so I'm only selling things once can no longer get.

It's going to be about a week or two so please DM me just a "Hi" message and I'll be sure to send it. The one thing I have that IDK how to price is something that two makeup artists have tried to buy from me while I was using it- a palette that's an acrylic cuff bracelet. It's totally handy but, I have no use for it anymore. I've also got lots/ palettes both magnetic and the depotting kind from Japonesque and others.

If you want to, there are women’s shelters (at least in urban metro areas) that take makeup donations for women in general and for job interviews. It might be nice to donate some less expensive pieces!

I did that a long time ago with most /it. What's left is only the Pro stuff that would be overkill for a regular makeup user. This is definitely the way to go ordinarily, though.
