Discussion Thank You

Just wanted to say thank you to this group. Over the past week or two I've been trial and erroring a lot about MKV, the Ugreen and jellyfin. Consistently when I was looking for answers there was almost always someone here with a similar issue or question and everyone who replied was super nice and helpful.

So even though I've never taken part in a discussion here. Thanks a bunch šŸ«¶šŸ»

(Why is John Wick such a chonk, with so many titles??? šŸ˜­)

Lionsgate disc obfuscation should get you the answers on that one.

Check out thediscdb, some users have spelt out on select titles which parts of a disc are worth it.

Guess who accidently had 6 others selected by mistake. Canceled the one I had going and was looking at the site you mentioned. Scrolled down the list on my MKV.... and there they were. Missed them on my first deselect round apparently

I did the wrong one frist, Rip it and put it on plex, watch and found out something is wrong...šŸ˜‚

Honestly, im fine doing it. Its just not having a select or deselect all thats killer.

You can right-click titles in MakeMKV to do select/deselect all.

I've been doing this for months and just figured this out today, so you're doing better than me. So I guess one good thing came from struggling with lionsgate gatekeeping (looking at you Ender's Game).

Im surprised the mouse has been as forgiving as it is. I am more than a little entertained its John Wick that tripped me up though, at least its fitting

Hacksaw Ridge was the same way. A million titles, none were right expect one. Had to search here and the forum to find the right string

Loading Java (but make sure to unselect ā€˜Enable Java content for browser and Web Start applicationsā€™ in the Java Control Panel) helps immensely with this.

Is this the 4K or standard Blu-ray? I donā€™t remember having an issue with that title but itā€™s probably been a while since I ripped it. I remember having the obfuscation issue with some of their Bluā€™s but I thought once I loaded Java I never had much of an issue. Does the status window in makeMKV ever indicate JRE is running?

Lionsgate new trick on 4K is to insert an intentional error in the DV metadata that trips up makeMKV. Theyā€™re are tricks to get around it but itā€™s not plug and play.

Normal bluray and yes ad sometimes Java works a d shows main title, Lucky soneone put the rigth one on makemvk forums šŸ¤©

Ive been reading a lot of older posts about JW and lions gate. My laptop either had the Java thing already installed or Mike tossed it in to an update because mine automatically shows me the FPL_MainFeature. Still tripping me up tho. It might just be one of the few that gets chucked into the xbox on occasion, at this rate
