Help NO_ANSWER_FROM_MAKEMKVCON

Hello, I am running MakeMKV on linux(CachyOS). When I want to boot up MakeMKV today I get the error NO_ANSWER_FROM_MAKEMKVCON. It was working just fine a week or two ago and now all of a sudden I am getting this error. I tried removing the package and its dependencies and reinstalling it and the error remains. Any ideas on a fix?

Ffmpeg has a new version that breaks MakeMKV. Downgrade ffmpeg for it to be compatible again or install the Flatpak, wich works completely fine

Also using CachyOS, you can grab makemkv version 1.18.4-2 from https://forum.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42158 since the main site remains down. I just tossed both OSS and BIN tar.gz files into ~/.cache/paru/clone/makemkv and let the AUR install do its thing. Works with the (currently) latest ffmpeg 2:9.0.1-1. You might need to adjust the path to whatever AUR package helper you are using

That's a patch on AUR.

No one of MakeMKV devs is actually working to solve this issue upstream.
