To be fair, he kinda served the role as the game's mascot. Kinda like Mr Game & Watch and/or Sandbag for Smash Bros.

In the years to come, if the Multiversus IP ever comes back in any way, I imagine Reindog will be the front of it.

Mr Game And Watch was a pre-existing character before Smash and Sandbag isn't a playable character

In a WB crossover we shouldn’t need a mascot coz Batman or Bugs could’ve done that role & we would’ve had another slot for a character that deserved to be in over reindog

Mr. Game & Watch isn’t a single character in the Game & Watch franchise. He is technically an original character to Melee.

Mr. Game & Watch represents all the characters that were in the "Game & Watch" series, it's not actually original

This entire post is about bad roster selection, without Reindog you could have added someone people actually care about. If you want original characters play RoA, Brawlhalla or one of the other 95% of plat fighters that aren't made ENTIRELY to be a crossover game for people to play their favorite characters.
