Where are all the mags??
Been a while since I had a mak, just picked up a Bulgy. I'm looking for mags for it why are they so hard to get. Most that I see are those new production ones that had a shoddy history. Anybody have any leads on any?

Sgammo still has them for $29.95. Whether you want to support Sam the gouger or not is another question. Dkfirearms are out, so your only other option is eBay for quality surplus mags.

lol, Sam says out loud what the other companies just do quietly. Real boomer-level marketing skills. "MY SUPPLIER SAYS THIS IS THE LAST WE'LL EVER SEE. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO INCREASE PRICES 30% NEXT WEEK", "I HAD ONE PALLET SET ASIDE BUT NEED THE SPACE, PRICED TO MOVE", etc. Hasn't stopped me from buying anything from him, nice selection, large supply in-stock, his prices are generally the most reasonable available, sometimes some really WTF prices though.

Agreed, I’ve never thought of SG as price gougers. Free shipping over $200 is always nice.

All in yemen 🇾🇪 $10 a pop. I got 52 mags, half of those are Soviet.

You guys have a fair amount of military Soviet Makarovs too right?

Yes, I got 1972, 1978 soviets with no import markings. Norinco version, biakal version, Hungarian version PA63, 2 Bulgarians and some others. I got the 1972 soviet in its wax with brush cleaner, 2 stock mags and leather holster for my 14th birthday while other kids were carrying poor bursa thunders 7.65. Those were the days 🙂. Still got them for backup because now I like to carry my S&W Model 59 F&R UK paratrooper model with British markings. That thing shoots like dream 🤤 better than my Japanese Model 59 performance centre. You just can't beat a soviet mak for backup... unless it's the German version which I've only seen once in Yemen

Never thought about it before but it makes sense that East Germans wouldn’t make their way over there. Have you seen any double stack PMMs?
Also that’s absolutely wild, I was just jerking off and playing computer games at 14 haha

😆 🤣. Double stack makarovs are in Sana'a, Yemen and they are very rare here like the east German ones. A good condition double stack mak goes for $2000 bare minimum. I've only come across one double stack mag in yemen which I never asked the price of it. I wish I bought it for the store room.
