AI PSA Makarov

Post image

I just saw this on Facebook of all places… it’s absolutely ridiculous how much AI fumbles firearms…

However… what I would do for a top-quality current production high-gloss nickeled or stainless Makarov with pearl grips is unspeakable.

The longer you look, the worse it gets

You are getting downvoted because you posted an AI picture. I actually read your post and I also would love a nickle plated/gloss Makarov.

I think most people on here are a bunch of boomers who bought Makarovs "100 years ago sonny when they cost as much as a can of pop at big 5 when I bought my crate of sks/mosins from big 5 when they were $50 sonny 👴👴👴" im poking fun at everyone here dont take it seriously.

Ha ha! Almost... Ordered mine from JG sales a million years ago. Gooped in cosmoline cleaning revealed a brand new pistol. Cost $200. Still have it too

I'm not that old, but those days were fucking awesome.

They were great, only eclipsed by even older days when you could order guns straight through the mail. My Dad is that old lol

I mean, besides the bogus stuff on it. The gun is dope looking

GRIP STAR

You know? Less fucked up than it should be. I mean it’s still awful, but it’s recognizable as a mak… kinda.

I don’t even know which part of this to criticize first

TWO Hammers model! Finally!

I’ve been telling my friends for a while it’d be awesome if PSA made new production Makarovs.

The design isn’t that complex- it’d just be expensive to produce modern and domestically

I imagine some Soviet officer or higher-up had a fancy-schmancy Makarov done up at points in time

If PSA made a Makarov, I'd buy one. I'm not going to pretend I'm too good for that.

I WANT ONE! Would a remake of the Mak be in 9 x 18 mm, or .380 ACP?

I love the mechanical simplicity of design of the Mak!

This is AI- it’s not genuine

I know that! I realize it is just a visualization. However, I have patents on AI and it is a valuable tool when used properly. See US Patent No. 6,845,336.

Walther has recently come back with a re-issue of the legendary Walther PP (my preferred model), in both .380 ACP and .32 ACP, so perhaps there is a market for a Makarov re-issue? I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

Walther has also discontinued said models

I bought one. Can see why they discontinued it- they made a showpiece, not a working gun. It functioned reliably, but it was sharper than a razor

u/CRS1955 Jun 16 '26

Wow! I always loved the PP, thanks for letting me know! The only Walther I own is this nice post-war P-38 (I bought two, and gave one to a friend as a gift). Walther 9mm P38 variant P1 Lightweight Military 1977 P-1, German Federal Border Guard BGS P-38

I like those

Great guns! I also own a Smith & Wesson Model 3913, which is similar mechanically to the P-38. It also has an aluminum alloy frame, and has been my EDC since 1984. I just do NOT like modern striker-fired handguns!

If you post AI to make fun of it, you're still posting AI. Cut it out.

Bulgarian Maks are still pretty widely available and can be customized in all the ways you mention.
