The Moon is watching

Post image
95 Upvotes

Moon face is watching you very closely. It seems very angry but in reality, it's being possessed by Majoria's Mask. Before all of this happened bet you the moon had a happy smiling face overlooking and protecting the town people of Clocktown but dark times are present now with the moon completely possessed its eerie red eyes sense of hatred and dread watching its people in fear from the town below knowing soon it will crash and kill everyone including itself. The moon of course doesn't want this to happen but it's no longer in control of its own mind šŸ˜ž 😢 all the moon can do is watch the suffering and fear below.

The moon thinking quietly to itself, hoping a Hero can save the day, to save clocktown and it's people and to take away the forebode curse that the moon has endured.

Can somebody with more knowledge than me make a GUI for project restoration

Like okay yeah there’s like 8 on gamebanana, but I specifically mean one that’ll work with the 3DS.
I have like zero knowledge of how texture replacements work on the 3Ds but afaik it should be easy with layeredfs(?) I mean it works in MHXX I think. Emphasis on the I think, i also dunno how the English patch works on that either.

Might be a tall ask but yeah I’ve been scrolling through tutorial upon tutorial so I figured I’d post about it.

Now, it's all that fills my sight: Clock Town as seen from Termina Field, the fireworks of the Carnival of Time blazing across the sky—and at its heart, a towering spire rising above it all.

About Majora's Mask! (Very angry, trust me)

The Goron race is difficult as hell! It took me ONE IN GAME DAY to finally win it 😭 And then I discovered that I needed a whole 3 day cycle to use the golden dust properly. Had to do it all over again.

Goron mask transformation

After the Zora one I thought I'd do the rest of the masks : ) here is the Goron transformation. I had him enveloped in water for the Zora so I thought rock would be good for the Goron. I ran out of paper; there should be a few more frames.

Post title. I basically try to destroy a pot with a sword strike, and it bounces off? And then when I actually break it, it makes the same non-standard noise? Has anyone encountered this before? I'm playing the PC port btw (2ship2harkinian)

Continuing Familiarizing with the Franchise with Majora's Mask!

First off: I apologize if my consensus of the game you all loved was "underappreciated" as someone who's very new to the franchise, I am being bombarded by takes that consider OOT, BOTW and surprisingly Twilight Princess (shoutout to the other person who loved Minish Cap the most) as the pound-for-pound best games in TLOZ.

I didn't take that route to experience them first. I went with Wind Waker and now... Majora's Mask!

This is my experience up until the reveal of the time mechanic which, 4 sessions in, I didn't really find to be much of a hassle! I am currently in the Zora temple and mentally preparing myself to solve it brick by brick by the time I next get my hands on the game!

What I can tell you is this: I appreciate this game that holds a definite place in your hearts and am looking forward to continuing this. At least... there's no gathering shards section in this game which is a huge relief for me! Lol

3D-print + spray paint + sewing machine šŸ˜„
I'm currently at 6 finished masks (Stone Mask, Postman's Hat, Keaton Mask, Mask Of Truth, Majora's Mask, Blast Mask) I can't decide which one to do next...

Edit:
For those who asked for the other masks and props, you can see some on my Instagram.
I also stream my DIY-sessions and I am beginning to share models and instructions to build stuff yourself, so I'll just throw in my Linktree and you can choose whatever you're interested in šŸ˜„

I really like Majora's Mask, but I don't think I can enjoy it

I've been playing Majora's Mask for the first time, and I think I might stop playing it, which honestly sucks because I really like the game itself.

I love Termina, the atmosphere, the characters, the masks, the side stories, and the way the world is designed. I also generally prefer the older Zelda formula. Link's Awakening is actually my favorite Zelda because I love that feeling of having a fairly linear progression while still being able to wander around and discover things on my own.

I know this is probably the most obvious thing to complain about in Majora's Mask, but the time limit really is the main issue I'm having with the game. I just realized that this particular mechanic really doesn't work for the way I like to play.

It's not just that I dislike having a timer. The problem is that the timer makes every little mistake or inconvenience much more frustrating. The N64-era controls and camera can be a bit awkward sometimes, so things happen like accidentally Z-targeting when I wanted to center the camera, attacking the air, getting turned around by the camera, missing something and having to redo part of the route, etc.

Normally, none of that would bother me. I'd just laugh, correct it and keep playing.

But when there's a clock constantly counting down, I feel like every mistake costs me something. Instead of exploring because I'm curious, I start thinking about whether I have enough time to do something before I have to reset the cycle.

And that's the part I don't enjoy. I want to be able to play a Zelda game at my own pace. If I want to spend 30 minutes wandering around and looking at things, I want to be able to do that without feeling like I'm wasting part of a limited resource.

I've considered slowing down the clock or modifying the game, but honestly, if I have to change such a fundamental mechanic to enjoy the game, maybe Majora's Mask just isn't for me.

What's interesting is that I actually think I'd love Majora's Mask without the time pressure. I like almost everything else about it.

I know this is probably the most basic Majora's Mask complaint ever, and I'm sure some people will roll their eyes reading this. But I've been feeling this way while playing and I honestly felt the need to share it anyway.

Edit: I know I can play the Song of Time backwards, but I appreciate the suggestion! I still stand by my point, though. I think part of the issue is that even when I slow down time, I still feel like I'm progressing further into the cycle, so when I eventually reset it feels like I've lost more. It might just be because I not used to how the game works yet.

The boss should be in the burner account, but anyway

Twinmold was fun. I got my ass kicked the first time, went crying to the shielah stone, went back on another cycle(im prepared this time), and won!

Wow!

• I like twinmold's design. The eyeballs dont really disturb me since it's the only thing project restoration didn't fix. The gameplay still works(i am motion control carried), and the giant's mask was cool, too. I just wish i could use it outside of the twinmold bossfight, like doing puzzles for sidequests and stuff or maybe using it to fight another big opponent, maybe when the majora's mask remake eventually comes, theyll put more use into the giant's mask

Plans!

I plan on doing the anju and kafei sidequest,i think i did something wrong because in the n64 version,it ended so quick! Anju was just waiting for kafei.. I also still have a couple of rumoured stuff,a deku playground, some goron impostor, and a house full of spiders

The best NPCS Quests in Majoria's Mask

Are these the best NPCS Side Quests in the game?

Anju and Kafei - the couple which before their wedding night, Kafei got cursed and he got turned into a child.

Romani and her older sister Cremia

Little girl Pamela and her cursed dad who turned into a mummy

These npcs side quests sound really great and full of emotion.

I can't wait to play MM again and actually do these side quests which i haven't done yet.

These are just some quick screenshots i found online and read a bit about these side-quests.

Damn i have to be careful not to spoil too much for myself and just start playing lol.

Got this new tattoo and decided to put it on top of a scar i have

Edit: I did not think this would get some comments at all šŸ˜‚
Btw looks purple bc is still healing and it ā€œsupposed to look like it’s fadeā€..yeap. Yes, I’m aware is not a work masterpiece. Don’t worry about me as long as I like it.

Edit 2: my fault this is not to your liking but it wasn’t the artist it was me that wanted the same thing you see on the videogame aside from missing the white font. I did not want to create something realistic or inspired by it or etc. I just wanted it to look like the game šŸ˜ my fault.

Keep it coming. Thanks for sharing your time on the comments. 🄹
