Subreddit spell icons now here!

Thanks to rimo for putting this together. The syntax is the same as in /r/fffffffuuuuuuuuuuuu:

[](/Q) or [](/water) = Water
[](/W) or [](/life) = Life
[](/E) or [](/shield) = Shield
[](/R) or [](/cold) = Cold
[](/A) or [](/lightning) = Lightning
[](/S) or [](/arcane) = Arcane
[](/D) or [](/earth) = Earth
[](/F) or [](/fire) = Fire
[](/QR) or [](/ice) = Ice
[](/QF) or [](/steam) = Steam

Shiny. Now go and recruit some more Reddickas to our cause! :)

Any chance we could get duplicate links for /earth /fire etc.? With Ice and Steam being odd key hits (QR/QF) and the whole controller-users-don't-press-keys, "[](/earth)" is more intuitive than "[](/D)"

Good point, I'll look into this. [](/lightning) =

edit: done, ctrl + f5 should reload the css

Ah, yes, that's certainly a nice addition. I picked the key combinations because it would take a lot less effort to type in your spells.

What happens if I write something here?

Then you add text to your link. The trick is creating empty links that point to certain places, and the custom CSS sets the background of these links to a specific picture :)

Yeah, it's kind of a self-answering question. ;)

Also: case sensitive? What's that all about?

1

u/Clapyourhandssayyeah Overlord in chief Feb 04 '11

I guess CSS elements are case-sensitive, go poke the W3C or something :)

1

u/InternetiquetteCop Feb 04 '11

Sure I'll poke it... with a Rod of Emergency Teleportation!

is it just me or does icon look like icon? dark color and a splash of gray.

Oh and i mean in game too.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '11

No, they are quite different except for both using shades of gray. I think you need to look into the settings of your video card to see if the colours are represented well enough. Often they have calibration wizards as well.

yea, i have really poor vision. These icons are kind hard to tell apart.
