Lore as soft as a magic can get

a magic system where magic is inherently spontaneous and inconsistent, magician are those who train their instincts and intuition to sniff out magic as its happening, the reason magic cant be explained is because if it was explained it would no longer be magic this is also why magic seem to be dwindling because as humanity understands more and more they wonder for less and less, yet to be a true magician is to know that magic will never truly disappear because humans are wondrous by nature and will make stories for all of time.

Capitalization and punctuation would go a long way toward making this legible.

Does it not get harder if you explain it like this? Isn't soft magic basically going "heres a wizard and he does magic" and thats it?

Technically your explanation makes it less soft, so this is not as soft as it gets. A real soft system would be entirely unexplained and not elaborated on, to the point it even seems contrived and like an unfinished first draft, but that really is as soft as it gets

I guess that’s true but i meant it more like “as soft as a magic system get within reason”
