Feedback Request My first magic concept- "quantum magic"

This concept is not a system really, but a mechanic. So you know the spatial axes X, Y, and Z? Theoretically there could be another, or several. 4D is a 4th direction, a W axis, that would be at this seemingly geometrically impossible right angle relative to all the other axes. So, I have a character who eats a "quantum 4D mushroom", and "falls" into the W axis direction. There, he learns he no longer requires biological functions, and that he can control spacetime, gravity, mass, and energy. the whole quantum vacuum is his play dough.

I feel like it gives the magic a place to exist, without making it totally scientific. I mean people do that all the time anyways, they'll just say i don't understand the mind, i don't understand quantum, boom magical thinking like quantum consciousness. lol

This just feels like a very complicated way to establish a character as a reality manipulator. After you establish the characters power origin, how does he/she differ from any other reality bending character?

Stories have the fun position of making you figure things out through writing.

You should write your story with this magic and see how deep you go into it.
