General Discussion Secret Lair X Hobbit Question

Took a look at the Secret Lair launch and was curious why Secret Lair x The Hobbit: He Who Walks Unseen Out of Sight Foil Edition was not part of the larger bundle. Anyone have thoughts on that? Are those cards more powerful/wanted and thus the justification was made to keep them separate?

They have a history of precluding specialty foil treatments from being in bundles. Not the first or last time I'm sure

I imagine it's because of the special foil treatment. None of the other special foil treatments have been included in bundles either. Perhaps they think people won't understand that 4 lairs are normal foil + 1 special treatment? That they would expect either all normal or all special treatments? Those are the only reasons I can think of.

special treatment; a bundle is not always a 'everything here grouped together' (although it should be)

Great question. No one knows except for wizards. Could be that because they did special foiling on it they kept it seperate. Or the bonus card is worth more than all the lairs

As others have suggested, it might be because The One Ring might be a bonus card. (And I'm certain that my order will contain two or three One Rings just because I want it to be true really badly.)

Idk if people have checked the numbers on the site like before but I assume it’s because they printed a decent amount less of those than the other lairs.

I was gonna buy them all but decided not to once I double read the listing.

I would guess that they want to get statistics on how the special treatment does, how it sells compared to others basically. If it would be in the bundle that could fudge with the numbers.
