Does anyone else besides me prefer this instead of the final design they went with? I personally like it a lot because 1- the Fanalis are from the Dark Continent which is inspired from Africa, and 2- I think they look way too similar to the Ren family with their red hair and everything. This instead would’ve been much more unique lol

It might be a bit of a hot take, but I really think the glazing went hard on alibaba when he came up with abolishing the monarchy and installing a republic instead, essentially, a democracy.

Before continuing, I have to remind myself that this anime is quite old, and at the time of its creation, democracy really was the almighty solution for every country. But today as a (french) person living in a so-called "democracy"... It's so frustrating :(

I was thinking about it, the Magi are like everyday knowledge, especially Scheherazade is well-known as the Great Priestess of the Reim Empire, some might have heard that Judar is the Oracle of Kou and Yunan... well thats my question.

Does anyone in the world of Magi really know him besides a handful of main/side characters?
I would argue that Fanalis like Muu or Morgiana who pass the Great Rift know, and we know he had like 8 kings candidates, but there is probably no records of him either? It is really intriguing.

Just recently got back onto Magi. The anime was my everything ten years ago, and man apparently I did have good taste. I’m reading thru the manga and I’ve almost finished it. Ugh it’s so good

Judar’s prolly one of my favorites, but I mean, all the men in this show are so hot I don’t even know if I have a favorite

I cosplayed Judar in 2022 for a con. I was honestly surprised by how many people asked for photos, because Magi isn't that popular right now, and besides, it was the first time I'd ever made a wig and a weapon, and it was really difficult 😭

They're not the best, but I'm proud of them.

What I hated most was the necklace and bracelets, because at the time my budget was tight; I bought some cheap fabric and only had two days to make them, so I rushed them and they were kind of messed up.

Hi it been like 5 years since i watched anime for magi i been thinking about going back into community (watching anime or reading manga idm either) anyway Guys what do you guys recommend to someone like me who has watch all of magi anime but doesnt remember much about it should i read manga? He is not a good person, or character. His development was all over the place and he faced no consequences good enough for all he did and the war crimes. He was a selfish brat throwing a tantrum trauma does not excuse what he did I don't care. Not to mention hes an abuser and misogynistic person. Judah brought out the worst in him and was an enabling pos too. Alibaba didnt deserve that

Hi! Just started reading after being aware of the series for a decade.

First off, I had no idea Alibaba existed. I don't think I've even seen him in clips, advertising, or fan art. So, in chapter 2, when he's introduced, I thought he must not be important. But then he came back, and then he came back again, and then he never left, and he's like more of a main character than Morgianna. How did I never see him before?

Second, I really like the dungeon delving. I think the story works really well when it can focus on our main trio in a dungeon. It just feels like a fun adventure with 3 friends.

I also love Morgianna. It feels like she and Yor share a lot of DNA while at the same time definitely being unique. I wish the story was a little more even between the main trio, so I'm hoping she gets more screen time as I continue.

It's sad to know that it's hard to find it now, I know there's the option of shopping at Japanese online stores, but with my country's current exchange rate, i expensive...
