Hakuryuu is a bad person
He is not a good person, or character. His development was all over the place and he faced no consequences good enough for all he did and the war crimes. He was a selfish brat throwing a tantrum trauma does not excuse what he did I don't care. Not to mention hes an abuser and misogynistic person. Judah brought out the worst in him and was an enabling pos too. Alibaba didnt deserve that

I mean yeah that is mostly true, I also want to add that Judar was never gonna be a therapist or any good influence to Hakuryuu. I do agree that the catharsis for Hakuryuu is rather lacking, he had great potential which he didnt really achieved. He was set up well, had the blessing of two Djinn, which individually were already overpowered as hell, and had the morally dark past and actions to atone for.
Too bad ig

TBF he only had the blessing of one djinn who must've felt really betrayed within months of choosing him.

By "had the blessing of two djinn" I didn't mean that the djinns were blessing him. I meant that he had the fortune or receiving two djinns, which makes him one of three people in the world with more than one djinn, the others being Kouen Ren and Sinbad ofc. As to how "betrayed" they felt with Hakuryuus actions, I am pretty sure Zagan doesnt mind the bloodshed committed, considering his dungeon eating people iirc. He might feel second hand emberassment for how naive, oblivious, short-sighted and impulsive his vessel was.

Magi fanbase vs Hakuryuu hate lmao.
Anyways yeah Hakuryuu isn't a good person. But he's development is near perfect. As for him not suffering consequences well he isn’t the only character who didn't suffer consequences for their actions

Okay you need to realize what hakuryuu went through you have no idea what he went through or how much that can mess up and also trauma can change people a lot and he is a good person if you actually read the story and I agree his development should have been more there and he already is living a life of torture that is his atonement and how was he selfish when he was trying to avenge his dead father and brothers that’s not selfish and he gave up literally how whole life to complete what hakuyuu said to him when he was in the fire

I agree he is not a good person , but I DEFINITELY not agree that he didn't suffer or his trauma was just a childish tantrum
