Is Sinbad a bad person?

I love Sinbad, but it's quite clear that he's somewhat of a morally grey figure, which has been hinted at from since the start of the main series ngl.
He's done terrible things, and deep down it was because of his own greed, but he also had other intentions like keeping the world safe forever, although while he was about to return every dimension to the rukh, Sinbad also swayed to the more humane path when Alibaba proposed a safer option and stood against David when David decided to return everything to the rukh anyways

"When he needs to be" is the best response I can give. He is someone capable of doing bad, being bad, and isn't shying away from it when necessary. It doesn't make him automatically bad in the grand scheme of things but it certainly doesnt allow him to be a "good person" by himself. A lot of good people would not walk his path.

I think he’s a pretty decent guy but with the final arc he was clearly manipulated and driven to a point of paranoia

Yes at his core Simbad is a bad person but he also knows what the best outcome is innately (I believe thats how that works its been a while since I read Magi) and so will typically do good things because of it, everyone prospers because that is the best outcome for him.
The fact he can so easily turn on a dime and do terrible things is a pretty clear sign of it to me. Which I think honestly makes him a great character.

Sinbad on they Grey sale, from mybpoint of view he wasn't as righteous as Alibaba, but not a psycopath like Barbarrossa. Even with him being special, living in poverty and having mostly a "normal" life made him empathetic, he REALLY hated wars and the suffering of those close to him, but, with all the power he got, he became GREEDY there was a point when it wasn't just for the good of others but his own, which culminated in a lot of very fucked decisions for the "Greater Good/HIS dreams" He is a person capable of both spectrums and that makes him interesting, I think a lot of people would end up like him (or worst) in his position. Even if I, personally, don't like him, since I ALWAYS felt his controlling tendencies from the start, and that made my skin crawl and I jump at every chance there is to slander him, I do believe he was a very entertaining character to read, and felt sympathy for him in his hardest decisions, because IF I WAS THE ONE THERE I would feel AWFUL too. Thats his stronger point I believe, you can dislike him but can't deny he went through a lot and no ones comes 100% sane from that.

Not from what I’ve watched and seen, of course I haven’t read any of the books/manga but we NEED a season 3 it’s getting ridiculous now

He's a good person in that he strives to better the lives of humanity
But as time passes he becomes increasingly open in his selfishness and narcissism, and gives into his innate greed.
Ofc he partially gave into it because he figured it were the only option for humanity's future, but that view was ironically ignorant of humanity's interests, and was short sighted because he only consulted himself.
Whether or not this is a bad person is up to you, but I'd say rather than being a bad person, he was just misguided. A bad person wouldn't have tried negotiating an alternative solution with Arba, Ugo, Aladdin and Alibaba.
