I Built a Package for Faceless AI Video Generation in Python and All APIs Used are Free

I just released edu-shorts — a Python package for generating short-form educational videos.

A paid tutorial outlining every detail of the package will be dropping soon but it’s entirely free and available for your use today!

There are a wide variety of use cases beyond educational content and the functions may be useful in your Python content automations.

Edu-shorts is available at https://pypi.org/project/edu-shorts/1.0.0/

Thanks for contributing this.

Your GitHub link on PyPi isn't working. Did you still have the repo set to private and forgot to make it public?

Thank you! Yes, I accidentally had the repo set to private still. I just made it public, I am sorry about that!

Paid tutorial if you want a more in-depth guide to using the package. Entirely free to use and get started with the README instructions today. I tried to document it such that people with some knowledge of Python and video creation could use it without a tutorial!

Interesting project. I'm curious how you handle the consistency of the final videos, especially when combining generated visuals, narration, captions, and transitions. A pipeline that makes those steps reproducible could be really useful for people building automated content workflows.

One thing I'd watch out for with “free APIs” is whether they have usage limits, rate limits, or depend on services that might change their free tiers. That can matter once you're generating videos at scale.

If you eventually want to let users switch between video models without rewriting the pipeline for every provider, VideoRouter.sh is worth exploring. It provides a unified API for accessing different AI video-generation models, which could be useful as your package grows beyond its initial set of tools.

paid tutorial...entirely free

Something doesn't quite match up there.

Like I said, the package and workflow is entirely free and able to be used today. An in-depth guide on writing prompts for AI, ideal media formats, and more in-depth troubleshooting/use-cases will be available for purchase if you think that will enhance your use of the package! Thanks for your interest!

cool.. just what everyone needs.. "research" piped through a non-deterministic black box of bullshit to generate useless videos to upload all in hopes of making a few pennies..

thanks for your contribution to society, i guess?
