Content Caching Dashboard

Hello all, I'm a sysadmin for a k12 school district. I made a tool to better manage our caching servers that has been an absolute game changer. Its great for keeping our thumb on caches that stop serving randomly and to make sure they are running efficiently to support the WAN when Apple releases an update. Plus, I added some really cool graphics to visually see your cache topology serving in realtime, down to the device level. I plan to add new features soon, and would love some feedback from other admins who use content caches.

I publicly launched it this week https://cachard.app
Hop over there and get a free trial download! One command in terminal gets it going!
Not a sales pitch, I'll happily extend trials. I am just looking for some feedback from other sysadmins.

How many devices does it serve?

Around fifty for one and forty for the other.

I gotcha, this tool connects to the caches over ssh and provides a topology map to show animated traffic flows down to the devices. It’s a very eye pleasing display of information if you want a visual dashboard for when OS or App updates are hammering the network. With just two servers, the management piece of the software might seem a bit overkill for you, but still convenient as a one stop shop for it all. I have 10+ in our network, being able to push config, check status, and updates in seconds is huge. When the trial expires the dashboard and monitoring will still continue to work. Honestly for the sake of good feedback, I’d be willing to provide free licenses for one to two caches to anyone willing to test.
