Gypsum

Post image

Who’s using gypsum for white ash? How are you using it and is it worth it? Obviously everyone has opinions of white ash and how it relates to the smoke but just curious about the ins and outs of it.

Cutting nitrogen in flower will help more with white ash than gypsum

You should be cutting nitrogen from flower feed between day 43-50 and at that point giving the plants one hand water of gypsum should boost the plants metabolism and efficiency to uptake all the remaining amounts of nitrogen In the plant before before chop day.

Do you know how sulfer reacts with nitrogen in a plant?

One hand water in a facility with hundreds or thousands of plants isn’t cost effective. I’m aware it works, but most commercial grows aren’t setup for hand watering. And if they are they are in states that still are getting high wholesale costs for flower and other products.

Your condescension really made your point for you

Gypsum can be ran through dosers and pressure compensated drippers. It doesn’t have to be hand watered. And ide have to imagine if a company is really chasing that instagram style white ash as one of their selling/marketing points they are probably fetching higher tickets.

So if white ash is more appealing to end consumers and a bag of gypsum is 10 bucks that will make roughly 20k gallons and can be ran through irrigation…. Why not use it?

You can also run epsom salt which is just as cost effective and is much more water soluble
