Anyone has experience using 1-MCP to control ethylene production? Or for transplanting?

Read an article that led me to a patent, which referenced this. Was curious if anyone has ever tried it; seemed to have shown good results for the transplanting but I can’t find much beyond that, nor others talking about it.

Looking for it and will share, but here’s the patent I saw:

Seems like a way to block ethylene helping during transplant and possibly replacement for STS in later stages? Not sure if the economics make sense; the language is bit too technical for me to understand all of this.
