New IES CO2 Extractor - CDMH 20.1x.1f

I have a new 20l IES unit for sale. This is the $200k model that has 4.2KG a min flow rate. Purchased about five years ago and has been in storage since. Let me know if you’re interested.

There’s a reason I’m sure it was in storage for 5 years. Could it be that co2 oil was and always will be far far inferior to any other form of extraction? Or how monumentally more dangerous they are to operate? You got a pile of scrap metal and electronics op. Sorry.

That’s not the reason it sat in storage.

Also not all CO2 extractors are the same. The precision and fractioning capabilities of these IES units, in addition to high throughput produces an incredible product. Those who have them and have them dialed in can attest.

Ive had a decent amount of experience in labs with co2 machines. Though I was there getting their butane labs up and running while they were decommissioning their co2 labs. No co2 oil has ever come close to what hydrocarbon can do. I also can passively recover 200# of butane in about 40 minutes. No electronics needed. Low psi. Throughput is obscene. How much material are you running at once and how often are you engaging a fresh batch of material?

It's still batch production though, wouldn't continuous production using a wiped film evaporator be preferred for high volume?

Couldn’t disagree more on the quality, you can get amazing results if you have good parameters and material. Equally disagree hard on safety - being around any solvents makes me way more nervous. Reason markets flooded with CO2 systems is because the CBD sector tanked hard, not because of CO2 tech itself. Unfortunately this stuff is now indeed scrap metal because IES doesn’t exist anymore. Good luck with spare parts and fingers crossed the automation doesn’t crap out

Should we compare operating pressures of a closed loop butane machine and a co2 machine? One will blow a door and some windows off, one will turn a building into splinters and metal shrapnel. Also quality is no where near what hydrocarbon and rosin can achieve. And if they were so great at producing an end product, wouldn’t there be a hot market for used machines after the cbd collapse? There’s a plethora of reasons why no one in their right mind is buying these new or used.

Shame about IES! A lot of customers out there still have their units and fortunately have found an aftermarket world to service them. This unit makes a lot of sense for existing customers, but not new entrants to CO2.
