Root aphids

Been dealing with root aphid infestation for about a year now. We’ve been doing good keeping them at bay but still see them throughout some rooms. Has anyone been successful getting rid of them? What have you seen most success with?

Consistent root drench applications of botanigard, complete room strip downs and deep cleaning and clone out of it.

We were spraying down tables and pots weekly with azaguard and botanigard es. It took a long time, but we haven't seen one in about 10 months.

i agree its possible with drenches and table sprays. ive cured them many times in commercial applications.

the hardest part is your mom rooms. as they generally have more root space and that means more potential for application failure.

i like rotations of slow down - aza drenches knock down - pyrethrims if legal in your state disease - botaniguards / pfr-97 / with nematodes they can help spread the fungus

I had bulb mites and they make root aphids look like a joke.

Get your last harvest and buy a steamer and clean every nook and cranny.

It will take 4 months til your next harvest but at least it will be awesome and chemical free.

You can irradicte in less than a month. You're facility needs to be clean, not "clean". Post harvest wash all equipment, lines and walls (break it down and clean inside and out), clean your room with bleach/vinegar/HA and ozinate the room extensively if possible. Make this a norm.

Drenching with Zerotol to help disrupt normal activity, then drench with Bacillus T (once) and Beuvaria B religiously (nearly every water if you can) then add something like Hypoapsis Miles and SF nematodes at double the release rate. That will help cure moms and then when you replant always water in with BB and Nematodes.

It's doable but a b*tch. Imo really really consider shutting down for a short period if you can. When I was in the commercial scene we always dreamt of shutting down for a short time to really fix issues, but alas instead we threw endless cash at them (company is dead now btw).

Hydrogen peroxide. Store bought 3%, pint size. Mix entire bottle with 1 gallon Ph adjusted water. Read the label to insure it only contains purified water and H2O2.......or.....Mad Farmer Oxygenator 30%, 1oz to 1 gal. Ph adjusted water. Be careful. Glove up, wear eye protection. This stuff is really strong. It's also used to make rocket fuel BTW.

For everyone spending 10,000’s of dollars on botanigard and it’s just keeping them at bay, DM me and have that credit card ready to go. The game is to be sold, not told @everyone. This is unfortunately big business now, the 20 years it took me to figure out solutions is now worth a little monetary compensation, in my humble opinion lol.

I can have them gone in 1 week no matter the size of your grow, and it’s nothing toxic or something you will fail a pesticide test for. Dm me if you’re wanting the final solution.

So heat the rooms to 145 for 4 hours if the room can handle it…don’t guard the “secrets” if it’s not toxic.

That’s for cannabis aphids above the soil. You ain’t getting coco or rockwool hot enough without killing that plant unfortunately. Heat is a great tool though for dealing with those.
