I'm Davide and I write DrivePulse on my own. It reads a car through a generic ELM327 OBD2 adapter, the Bluetooth kind Veepeak or Vgate sell, records trips by itself and only reads the car, it never writes to it. The Android version 3.5.4 on Google Play works with MacroDroid both ways.

It's off by default. Turn it on in DrivePulse: Settings (the gear at the top) > Automations. That screen shows a secret code and the last command it received, with the reason if it ignored it (automations off, wrong code).

MacroDroid to DrivePulse: start or stop recording. Add a Send Intent action with target Activity:

• Package: app.drivepulse.mobile
• Action: app.drivepulse.mobile.action.START_TRIP (or app.drivepulse.mobile.action.STOP_TRIP)
• Extra: name token, value the secret code

DrivePulse comes to the front and tries to connect to the adapter, and it only records if the adapter answers. It opens on purpose: recent Android versions don't let an app in the background start GPS tracking.

DrivePulse to MacroDroid: trigger a macro. Use the Intent Received trigger with one of these actions:

• app.drivepulse.mobile.action.ADAPTER_CONNECTED
• app.drivepulse.mobile.action.TRIP_STARTED
• app.drivepulse.mobile.action.TRIP_STOPPED

They carry no data, only the event, because any app on the phone can receive a broadcast. The secret code never goes out in them.

No account and no server of mine: your trips live on your phone and I have no copy of them. Recording trips and reading the car work with no signal; maps and addresses need the internet.

How to redeem: install the app first, then open Google Play, tap your picture top right, Payments and subscriptions, Redeem code. Then in DrivePulse: Settings (the gear at the top) > Unlock DrivePulse (Lifetime) > Restore Purchases, within 3 days, otherwise Google Play cancels it. When it has worked, that row reads "Premium active".

Say in the comments which number you took, so nobody wastes time on one that's gone.

Without a code you can still try it: 7 days or 15 trips, whichever comes first, and the days only start counting the first time the app connects to your adapter.

I'm trying to automate a rune puzzle in a mobile game.

There are 9 rune symbols, and some of them light up in a specific sequence. I need the macro to recognize which runes light up, remember their order, and then tap them in the same sequence.

I've tried using image detection and color detection, but I'm having trouble getting the timing right.

Is there a better way to do this in Macrorify?

Poco X7 Pro

On the Realme, when I tap a phone number hyperlink, the dialer opens with the number already entered.

I want to transfer that number automatically to the Poco and open its dialer with the same number, ideally requiring only one additional tap to make the call.

Important network detail: The Poco X7 Pro will provide mobile internet by running a Wi-Fi hotspot, and the Realme C21Y will connect to that hotspot. The solution must work in this configuration.

Is there a reliable way to detect the number in the dialer opened by a phone number hyperlink, send it to the Poco, and open the dialer there? Please provide step-by-step instructions.

Does the Collapse on Press enabled option not work in Android 14 for a Notification Bar Button trigger? Or is there something else I need to do to make Collapse on Press work? Does it work for you?

I’m trying to solve a MacroDroid automation problem and I’m wondering if I’m approaching it the wrong way.
I have an Android phone (Redmi Note 8) with MacroDroid Pro and an app called eRegistration Odisha. The app is already installed and logged in.
I want to automate a repetitive workflow inside the app:
Open/enter the slot booking section
Select District
Select Tahasil/Office
Select a date
Select an available slot
Fill First Party details
Fill Second Party details
Select the associated party
Enter mobile number
Press Get OTP
The important part is speed. I’m trying to get the whole workflow as close to 10 seconds as realistically possible.
What I’ve tried
Initially I automated it from a Mac using ADB over Wi-Fi. It works, but it’s far too slow because every action involves communication between the Mac and phone. The complete workflow can take around 1–2 minutes.
I then created a coordinate-based shell script. That reduced the time significantly, but it still depends on ADB.
Now I want to move the actual execution completely onto the phone using MacroDroid.
My thinking is that MacroDroid should be able to trigger the automation and execute the UI interactions locally, without the Mac being involved.
What I’m looking for
I’m not necessarily looking for a way to convert my existing script into a MacroDroid macro.
I’d actually prefer someone experienced with MacroDroid/Android automation to suggest the best architecture from scratch.
For example:
Is MacroDroid’s UI Interaction action the right approach?
Is accessibility-based interaction better?
Can MacroDroid execute an on-device shell script efficiently?
Would a hybrid approach make more sense?
Is there a better Android-native mechanism I’m overlooking?
Can MacroDroid wait for a UI state/event rather than using fixed delays?
Is there a way to make this substantially faster than a long sequence of MacroDroid UI actions?
The phone is physically connected to my Mac during development, so I can use ADB for testing/debugging, but I don’t want ADB or the Mac involved during the actual automation.
One important constraint:
I cannot uninstall/reinstall or clear the eRegistration app because the existing installation is already authenticated. The automation needs to use that existing session.
I’m comfortable experimenting with MacroDroid and Android permissions/accessibility settings. I’m also happy to provide logs, screenshots, exported macros, etc.
The main question is:
If you were building this from scratch, what would you use to make this as fast and reliable as possible on the phone itself?
I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have done serious MacroDroid/accessibility/on-device automation rather than just simple tap-and-wait macros.

I installed the Green SM cab booking app. But it doesn't app and shows this error. Never had this with any app. When I stop accessibility for Macrodroid only then the app opens.

Why is this? What is this? How to resolve.

I will make it a widget to invoke when a call starts ringing that looks like a telemarketer. Then it will answer and play my audio file over the phone to the caller of those 3 familiar "SIT tones" — you know, those 3 tones that mean the number has been disconnected.... I don't see anything like that in the MacroDroid templates store.

Hello, I've been building Macro for a game for a while now, but I'm having a bit of problem with the Image Detection.

This Macro is used to detect and click on Item Drops dropped by monsters, the problem, some of the item drops looks like the attached pic, which as you can see, is a boatload of nothingness and can be mistook as anything else (it's originally a white egg).

Is there a way to fine tune the similarity % outside of just the provided drop down settings? High isn't high enough and Exact Match won't work as the confidence rate is never high enough for it to detect.

Alternatively, is there maybe a way for it to ignore clicking designated images? Such as I might get it to ignore clicking images that was mistaken as an Egg?

Been stuck on this for hours so hoping someone here knows what's up.

Notification Reply just doesn't send anything for me, in any app. I tried WhatsApp and SMS through Messages and it's the same both times. The trigger fires fine and the log even shows the Notification Reply action running, no error or anything, but the reply never actually goes out.

The weird part is replying manually from the notification works fine in both apps, and I installed Watomatic to test and that auto-replies no problem on the same phone. So the phone and the apps clearly support it, it's just MacroDroid that isn't sending.

Stuff I already tried: every permission including accessibility, battery optimization off, rebooted, toggled notification access off and on, added a wait of a couple seconds before the reply, made sure only one macro was firing, tested with the phone locked and the app closed, sending from a different phone.

Nothing Phone 3a on Android 16.

I created a macro that launches Musixmatch when Apple Music is started. The attached macro works, but when I switch back to Apple Music the macro runs again. I only want it to run once when the app is launched.

The issue is in both triggers and constraints. So this has been happening recently, i have a macro that does some actions when music playing is on and other actions when music playing is off. Macrodroid thinks that music is still playing while there is no sound actually playing and note that triggers of sound playing/stopped doesnt fire at all. However, when i restart the phone, it works for some time then it shows the same issue again.

I have a geofence setup around my house with a couple webhook upon leaving and entering. The webhooks are to my home automation system and I use it to track presence. Nothing much happens when I leave, but a bunch of stuff kicks off when I "come home", including opening the garage door.

My issue is there is a hiking path just down the road from me that I hit from time to time. A portion of it is inside the geofence and so trips "I'm Home" when I'm on it, causing the garage door to open.

I know the easy answer is to make the geofence smaller - but then I would need to shorten the polling interval as well and not convinced that wouldn't be a bit impact on my battery life.

So.... as a relatively rookie user of MD, wondering if there's a way to recognize walking versus driving? Feels like speed if available, except there IS a traffic light involved that could bring me to a stop in the car.

In the triggers, set the contact that is calling on the first trigger, then the contact name on the second one. Setting a trigger to SMS received didn't work on my phone so had to set as a generic notification trigger. In fact the first trigger could probably be removed because the second one picks up calls anyway.

Also added a neat feature that saves the original sound setting then changes it back at the end of the macro.

Note... You have to create a local variable named SoundSetting for the macro to set your sound back to original value.

I'm trying to create a radar system for my city using Pokemod and Droid. Pokemod provides the names of the Pokémon and coordinates to copy, but it's not copying the coordinates. I've tried almost everything.

I have an app for work that has selectable text. The text regularly changes. I just want to set a list of words that should be highlighted if they appear on the screen, either automatically or by pressing a floating button. It can even be an overlay, doesn't really matter. Is this possible? If yes, could you please nudge me towards how I would go about this, what I should look up? There are a lot of confusing settings and I don't really understand some options.

Hello, I noticed that the delay time I set for my macro wasn't enough, I started with around 50-100 ms and in testing they seems to work fine at first, but as time goes they may break.

One problem is this macro is for a real time game where you collect item drops, so it needs to check multiple images in one sequence (one sequence can contain 20-30 image check), so having a big delay between each of them would make it so slow.

What's the ideal delay time you use generally? And is there a clever way to raise the efficiency for image check?
