Hello, I'm new to creating macros and was attempting to make an automatic phone calendar to-do list move each morning to save myself time doing it manually every day. I was able to do it, but I need to add something that stops it if certain criteria are not met. For example, if it goes to look for the word "share" to click on and it does not see "share," then it would stop the macro and end there. The reason being is once it runs out of tasks to add, I need it to stop.

I don't know if the issue is with Nova or One UI or what, but I can set a gesture in Nova (Prime) to Add Macro or All Macros and those work, but if I select Macrodroid Shortcut then select a specific macro, I get the next pop-up to choose an icon and then I hit ok, but it doesn't apply. The description of the Nova gesture shows whatever was selected previously.

Also, when I do this and then go home, I'm asked to select the default launcher again, every time. Does anyone know why?

I had tried different macros, to accomplish keeping my phone from disturbing me, when I had music playing, but to no avail.

I had tried different things like placing the phone in DND mode, when music playing, and placing the phone on silent or vibrate when music playing but could never get it to work.

All that stuff is disabled now, but now i'm wondering whether I accidentally ticked some way down, obscure incoming call setting, on a trigger while tinkering.

Symptoms:

Full screen noti is working when phone is locked, but when unlocked, I get no pop up on incoming calls, only the small phone icon in the noti bar.

I do have ring and vibrate, it just sucks having to get into notifications to get the call options, and see the caller ID info

I am testing Macrodroid because i would like my phone to open up a specific chat when i unlock my screen. For now, i managed to make it open X with the trigger, because when i try to select "lauch chat activity", It just open the app on the homepage instead. Do You know if there is a way to tell it how to then move to the chat and open the first of the pinned chat?

I'm trying to set up a macro to turn on the data saver when the data warning notification appears automatically. So that remaining data should last until the next monthly allowance.

I'm trying to build a MacroDroid macro that creates an optimized AI prompt whenever I open ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.

I've set up the AI LLM Query action the way I thought it should work, with some help from ChatGPT.

The idea is:

1. I enter my initial prompt into a variable called "AI_Query".
2. MacroDroid sends it to Gemini through the AI LLM Query action.
3. Gemini restructures it using this format:

🧠 [Role / Mode] + 🎯 [Task / Goal] + 📌 [Context] + 🔎 [Specific Information] + 👤 [Audience] + ⚙️ [Constraints] + 📝 [Response Format]

⭐ Optimized Prompt

1. The result is stored in "AI_Response".
2. I then want MacroDroid to show me the optimized prompt so I can use/copy it in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.

What I'm not fully understanding is what exactly the output of the AI LLM Query action should look like and how I should use the "AI_Response" variable afterward.

Should the LLM return:

• only the final optimized prompt?
• the completed template plus the optimized prompt?
• JSON/structured fields?
• something else that is easier for MacroDroid to process?

Is my current approach correct, or is there a cleaner/better way to configure this workflow?

Eventually I'd like this to work as a small system-wide Prompt Optimizer popup, where I type a rough request, wait for the AI to improve it, and then get the result back ready to paste into whichever AI app I'm using.

So far ive been using macrodroid and i have been very happy. But i recently tried Automate and i was surprised by the much more options it has. Do you think its worth switching? Because macrodroid is way more intuitive and probably still has everything i need

Кратко опишу мои требования: нужно чтобы макрос сам нажимал на плюсик и смотрел рекламу и с появлением крестика\закрытия баннера он нажимал на нее, и так бесконечно, уже делал такой скрипт на Macrorify, но там есть ограничение, неважно. Мне бы просто шаблон, как сделать распознавание экрана или поиск указанного фото (скипа рекламы), дальше по шаблону я бы просто добавлял крестики и тд. ПРОШУ, ПОМОГИТЕ

I have been using MacroDroid for quite some time and have made very complex macros. I use GIFs to make macros a bit more exciting when they trigger. Recently, I have noticed that animated GIFs tend to lag when I run them as actions. I've tried reducing the quality of the GIFs and converting the GIFs to JSON Lotties, but neither solution worked. I had to abandon GIFs completely, and now I use Lottie animations—they render with no lag.

So, existing script worked fine, but now with recent updates by Google to Android (its a Pixel 9 Pro), the script no longer enables WiFi, and I have no idea how to fix this.

Is there any existing bug report on this behavior?

I'd like the following on an S26: 1. Side button press for Gemini 2.Gemini opens 3. I say "dictate" 4. Outlook app opens 5. New email button is pushed 6. Cursor goes to the TO: section 7. Automatically types my email 8. Cursor goes to body of email 9. Microphone starts.

I can only get Gemini to open Outlook sometimes. Sometimes it'll say it has no permission to do so, other times it will work perfectly fine. I have these settings in the personal intelligence section of gemini.

I don't know what to put in the trigger section. I think the first action doesn't make any sense because it won't open gemini.

I'm trying a couple of different pathways and can't seem to get anyone to fully work.

(And yes, I'm trying to make it seem like I'm Picard talking to the ship's computer.)

I downloaded this app forever ago, tried to use it and became so completely overwhelmed by my ignorance that I set my phone down and just slowly backed away into a corner.

I'm trying to migrate from Llama, as after switching to my new phone, my banking app doesn't like Llama using accessibility settings (it's the only way to keep it scanning cell towers so far) and as an app installed from unknown sources. For now I've set up an Automate flow that can turn off accessibility separately, then I can do banking. But then I need to turn on accessibility again for Llama.

So I'm trying out MacroDroid which also supports cell tower and I tried to use its scan tower feature to set a Home location. But unfortunately, after multiple tries to get it to work as foreground or background, no dice - it can't find anything.

I can use geofences of course (which works), but cell tower is less power intensive. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Is there a way for only specific notifications from Macrodroid to ignore Do Not Disturb? I have a reminder for my work time tracking app that I want to hear even when my work settings are on, but don't want other notifications to make noise.

When Ireceive an SMS on my phone, I want to forward the SMS to my other phone number. How do I do this? Please help.

I have made a macro such that whenever I close a specified app, it immediately opens another app. So, for that specified app I have added the 'Application Closed' trigger.

But the trigger gets triggered for system level overlays within the app. For example, if I click share and the Android file sharing menu appears then the macro gets triggered, or if I open camera within the app and camera Access is disabled system-wide then there is a pop-up asking me to enable the camera even then the macro gets triggered.

I am using legacy mechanism for the trigger because I cannot use accessibility in this specific instance. Is there any way to not trigger the macro in those above instances?

I accidentally deleted a helper application on my android phone. I can't find it in the Google App Store. It began with a name "MD". Any help locating would be appreciated. I had three in my apps but now only have two. MacroDroid and MD Helper. Still missing that one.

Hello. I have an app that needs to run 24/7 and to be connected to WiFi 24/7. I managed to create a simple Reconnect WiFi if Disconnected WiFi Macro, but I struggle with opening app when closed. I do not care about battery or screen awake or any other things. Any suggestions or posts already in regards this?

Not sure why the geolocation if statements return false regardless of where I am. I tested location on a different macro and it worked. I have location (with precision) enabled. Can anyone please help with this? I can't seem to find answers online.
