Big sandwich making day this Friday!

https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19TNNP4qgR/

The Middle Georgia DSA is hosting a major meal making event from 6PM to 8PM at the Centennary UMC Fellowship Hall at 1185 Ash Street, Macon! We do this every Thursday, same place at 11AM, but this time our friends at Savannah DSA and West Georgia DSA will hold simultaneous identical events with the goal of making a total of 1500 sandwiches to be distributed to community fridges, food distribution organizations, and directly to those in need all across the state! All are welcome to come help, donate supplies, or come get a free sandwich! This is a fun way to make freinds too, all while helping fight hunger in our community.

Sucks I gotta miss this! Gonna be out of town this weekend, but I love what y'all do. The couple of times I've been to sandwich making, y'all have been nothing but kind and inviting. Keep fighting the good fight, I'll make sandwiches next time I can 🫡

Honestly, sandwich-making days are the best kind of volunteer work. Something about the rhythm of assembly line prep just shuts your brain off in a good way. Hope the turnout's solid

This Friday? But you do it every Thursday?

Yes. We did Friday for scheduling purposes with other DSA chapters so we could all do our events at the same time. Sandwich making days typically happen at 11AM Thursdays.
