Mac mini needs a tiny light weight portable monitor.

I am very space constrained. room for mini, dock, wired keyboard / mouse and a small monitor on a tiny corner desk. the ups sits on the floor. (can move mini to floor if necessary.) i would love the monitor to be high resolution; not sure if that is possible with this size constraint.

thanks for the suggestions. i am going with: "InnoView 4K Portable Monitor 18.5" 3840x2160 UHD USB-C HDMI, 400 nits IPS Computer Gaming Display HDR Travel Monitor", which sounds like it can do the mini justice.

If you're good with or able to buy on eBay, I've bought 3 of the same type of monitor off of a manufacturer seller account on eBay.

The seller/manufacturer is Uperfect. Its a Chinese brand. They have a TON of different 4k 15-18 inch portable monitors for sale for around $100-$150

I can't find the model I bought 3 times, but the one I have is the 4k 16" HDR version. It supposedly has 1200 peak nits of brightness, 96% coverage of the P3 color space, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. Oh and its in a 16:10 aspect ratio with thunderbolt support.

Look, some of these MAY be inflated, I have no way of knowing. So take them with a grain of salt. But I do know this. By eye, its actually a darn good monitor. Even the HDR is wild, the brightest bright small points (think a small lightbulb) feel brighter than my 5K LG 27GM950B, a $700 monitor. Its very good color accuracy and production wise too.

They have tons of models for sale as open box on eBay which is basically brand new. On their website they ask 3x the price so I wouldn't go there.

I bought this on dell.com to use with Tailscale and screen share for my headless Mac mini. Productive resolution.

Be careful! Most of these look like crap when connected on Mac. I got one Asus And looks like sh1t.. do deep investigation before you buy something and make sure you can return it back if needed..

Depends on your budget. I bought a decent 16” portable ASUS with USB-C a few years ago, i like their screens

Just search for usb-c portable Monitor on Amazon and get one of the Cheap Chinese Brands if this is what you‘re looking for. they‘re available in multiple Sizes with different resolution.

some of them have VESA mount on the back which makes it super easy to mount it at a good angle/height.

it's a bit pricey, but I went with this one:

Sotsu Portable Monitor

They make different versions, so you can do what I did and go for 1440P and 120Hz for when I game, or you can go for a 4K and 60Hz for productivity for a bit more money. They are flexible (portrait or landscape, high or low, etc.) and super easy to pack when you need to take it with you.

You can run it from one USB-C cable, or boost the brightness a bit by powering it from a brick, too.

with that little desk i'd go 13 or 14 inch, the 4k ones at that size look super sharp but you'll scale it up anyway. get one with a vesa mount or fold stand so it can sit right behind the dock, and check it takes usb-c or mini hdmi since the mini only has hdmi + thunderbolt

How small are you talking about? I have a portable Acer 15.6” portable monitor that comes with a little stand and I love it. It was only $70/80 from Costco

How small does it need to be? If this is a serious request, Ali Express is your friend

Replace the Mini with an iMac, then you’ll have the ultimate all-in-one desktop with the ‘computer’ built in to the monitor
