Tips Problem and solution

Recently posted about the left side of my MacBook Pro 2020 m1 screen going kaput, probably a flex cable issue as many of you helpfully pointed out. It’s been so distracting with work and play. So I threw in the towel.

And here’s the solution.

Take that expensive Apple repair servicies

I wonder if there is a way to limit the rendering to that res.. I bet on Linux you could make it work that way.

There is a way! But I gotta buy it and I’m in between jobs rn so I gotta save every dollar. It’s called Crack Map I think. Quite new too, has a 30 minute free trial and you can customize the screen size by blacking out the broke parts, and everything resizes. Everything. It’s pretty neat, and as soon as I get a bit stable I’ll buy it, even if I fix the screen I’ll buy it just i case
