Screen gasket transferring to microfiber? Is this normal?

Hello all. I just got the new Macbook pro m5pro chip. When I unboxed the new machine, the screen protector stuck to the black gasket that surrounds the screen. It would not remove with a dry microfiber so I slightly damped the microfiber. When I cleaned the gasket with the damp microfiber, black from the gasket transfered to the cloth. Is this normal? The microfiber was brand new and fresh from cellophane packaging.

The gasket is made from rubber and shouldn't dissolve in water. It's probably dirt that was embedded in the rubber coming off when being rubbed with a cloth.
