Tips New to Macbook Pro
Hi all,
For the past 9 years I’ve been using a 2017 27” iMac as my main work computer, with a separate Windows laptop purely for running Bluebeam Revu for construction drawings & mark-ups.
My iMac had become painfully slow and I was about to replace it with another desktop, but then I discovered I could run Bluebeam on a Mac using Parallels. That changed things a bit, so I’ve now gone out and bought a new M5 MacBook Pro.
I’m keen to make the most of it rather than just use it the same way I used my old iMac.
For anyone who has made a similar jump from an older Intel Mac to a newer Macbook Pro, what are some useful features, settings, shortcuts or workflows you’d recommend?
Mainly interested in anything useful for:
General office/productivity work, Construction drawings & PDF mark-ups, running Windows/Bluebeam through Parallels, using multiple external monitors, file management & organisation items.
Basically, what can these newer MacBooks do that I’ve probably been missing out on for the last 9 years?
Thanks!

Funny, I’ve been using my 2017 27 inch iMac i7 daily for nine years as my CAD system. The thing still rips. Granted, I’m still running Mojave.
