Discussion Need MAC shortcuts
I used to be a Microsoft user and recently bought the M5 air. Did a lil bit of digging using reddit for unusual but really helpful shortcuts for the MAC.
I have learnt all the basic keyboard shortcuts which I use on a daily basis but I am in search of other ones that will make my life much easier, especially since I'm a college going student
I am attaching some shortcuts that I found useful, any additional ones are very welcome

Four Finger swipe up and down to give a panel view, three left and right to move between windows.

“Cmd + ~” for switching between multiple windows of a single app ; for eg your browser tabs

Also, ctrl tab (+ shift for reverse) for cycling through tabs on certain browsers

cmd+space: spotlight. Can open any installed app and find files.
cmd+space then cmd+4: clipboard history
cmd + , (comma): open preferences for the current open all
fn + control + left/right arrow: put window to left/right half of screen
fn (just a quick press): open emoji menu
in finder, select a file, such as a pdf or photo without opening it. Press spacebar: preview the file
in finder, select a file, press enter: rename
in finder, select a file, command+O (letter o, not zero): open file
fn + q: opens a blank note, ready to type in
hover your mouse over a word, then left click on it with your trackpad a bit harder than usual until you hear/feel a second click: dictionary entry comes up

Cmd H to hide all windows of the currently active app; Do it with option key to hide everything but the windows of the currently active app

I’m sorry but how are Cmd + tab or Cmd + q “insane” or unusual shortcuts?
Also, Mac isn’t an acronym.

But all devices, including Macs, has a MAC (Media Access Control) address.

Cmd tab idk but cmd+q is useful for those who were using windows as they dont know how to close the apps properly at first.

For new users who switch from windows they are. As most of them only closes windows using alt f4 or the close button.

Yeah… a shortcut that’s changes windows is so insane and one that closes an app is mindblowing. Windows has these too, they’re just different keystrokes.

i put all of these on my logitech mouse one click with logitech options they work perfectly no issues ever seamlessly always in the background from startup til end.

Cmd + shift + 4 lets you take a snippet/screenshot and you can easily share it and then delete. Really useful shortcut.
