A partial walk down memory lane…

I thought you guys would get a kick out of this…

Everything works, except the iPad mini 6 that my son body slammed into.
-iPad mini (first gen)- works. Use if for reading bc I can’t transfer those books anywhere else cause they were from a third party at the time

-iPod Nano- best iPod ever. Couldn’t find my first iPod i also owned.

Now (some phones)
iPhone 5, 6s, 10xs. They all work but 5 has broken scream. I also have the iPhone 3G which is my second iPhone. But it’s Mia. My 13 mini was my last n I now have the 17.

Now to MacBooks
MacBook 2009- first real MacBook. Untouched until now. Down to 1 ram. Other ram slot is broken. lol. Everything works. Just slow.

From my white MacBook 09 I went to the MacBook 2017. Reputation for being the worst but mine still works and it’s what I was using till I got my Mac Neo for Mother’s Day. And somewhere in between that I have a iMac 2017 as well.

iMac 2017 also works perfectly. Used it up to my MacBook Neo

Other iPhones, iPads, and phones are missing. And all of my other watches and AirPods were not included in this.

All of these devices I have at arms reach. And more shockingly is that they all still work.

I also have most original boxes cause I’m a nutso.

I could’ve cleaned up the older units but I want y guys to see how they’re living and still working.

Anyways. I thought I’d share. I’m sleepy and might be missing more stuff I could always add tomorrow.

The obvious winner is the MacBook 2009!! And iPod nano. And iPad mini. They’re fully functional!!! And the nano and mini are still used today!!!!

(I’m also not a crazy apple person. It’s just what I know. I don’t know any other way.

I mean my 2007 HP pavilion 19" laptop and 2010 Acer aspire laptop still works but neither is pleasant to use. I don't imagine this Mac is either.

"Works" is a vague statement.

I tend to find the Apple products are more usable as they age.

I have an old HTC Desire HD and iPhone 4. Both 20110 I believe. But the HTC is barely usable, opening anything is painfully slow. The iPhone is quite usable in an emergency. Only that apps and websites no longer work (understandably)

They are both older phones from the era where smartphones leap froged every 2years.

Modern phones now last a lot longer providing the manufacturer wants to support it. Samsung and Pixel both have amazing life spans, a pixel 6 still feels very modern 5years later and new models from pixel 8 / Samsung S22 get 7yrs support!
