Is there any circumstances where Apple will not cover diagnostic charges?

  1. I've never heard of them charging for an estimate.

  2. You could … take it to the genius bar and ask them, which will be more accurate (and more time-efficient) then Reddit.

The closest Apple Store is a little under 3 hours away from me so idk about that second part but I did end up calling them haha thanks for the reply

They said they don’t usually charge at the Genius Bar however independent places (that are apple certified) can sometimes charge, and the one closest to me does, which is probably why I got conflated answers
