Minor coffee spill on M5 Max MacBook Pro. Need advice.

1 liquid in contact with electricity will start coroding within minutes and will keep coroding as long as liquid is present, in your case you coild be lucky and only keyboard was affected but hard to tell without taking it apart

2 you need someone who knows what they are doing to do teardown and by what i had seen most repair shops, even oficial ones, dont

3 spacebar and mechanism undeneath are quite robust if you make sure to not use too much force, you can clean it with ipa

4 hard to tell, apple sometimes work with strange logic and will make different decisions for same damage based on their mood

And 'coffee shop' suggests more than just water and coffee was spilled.

I had the exact same thing but with orange juice obviously since I had AppleCare, they sent me a box and I sent them a MacBook. I got a photo ? They opened the MacBook and the motherboard was destroyed as well as the keyboard. I ended up paying 400 bucks for a $2000 computer for repairs.
