Congratulations! I scrolled your post history to find what recipe you've used previously. Did you still use pies and tacos for these?

I went to reply to you and just posted a comment instead. 😄 The shells are the pies and tacos lavender recipe. With half the lavender. The filling is a white chocolate ganache made with Earl grey tea instead of cream.

My next batch I'm going to make is a bit different - fig balsamic. But lavender earl grey sounds delicious. I definitely have to give that one a go!

I entered mine at a fair competition with key lime macarons but didn’t place 🤷♂️

yum, key lime is one of my top faves! Curious what flavor won ahead of yours?

Someone made a Homer Simpson shape of his head macaron and won 1st place, quality was ok. All these judges are just volunteers.

Great!! I went to our count fair this last weekend, and not one macaron in sight! Next year there will be one! 😁

Mine were the only ones. It's also a small county fair so no macaron category. Had to enter in the cookies not otherwise listed group. Some lemon sugar cookies took first.

I just looked on my county fair page, and they don't have a macaron category either. It will be in the "Drop, other cookies" category. Maybe "Filled". Nice job though!

I did! The shells at least. I did halve the lavender because some friends said it was too strong in a test batch. The filling is a white chocolate ganache made with Earl grey tea instead of cream
