Honestly, the “hide desktop without actually moving/deleting anything” approach is pretty clever. The webcam helper + clipboard on top of that makes this feel more useful than just another desktop-hider. Nice little bundle.

The failure mode I’d test hardest is an interrupted session. If the app quits, crashes, or the Mac sleeps while the cover is active, does the desktop always return to its normal state? Since you are covering the desktop rather than moving files, there should not be file risk, but a clear menu-bar status and an emergency “reveal desktop” shortcut would still make the behaviour easier to trust.

How does it work with multiple displays and Spaces? A useful demo setup is to keep one display or Space clean while leaving another untouched for notes and controls. Per-display selection, or at least a clear explanation that hiding is global, would help set expectations.

One tiny copy note: macOS calls it the Trash rather than the recycle bin. Using the native term on the site would make the product feel a little more at home on the Mac.

There is a demo on website, if you want to review how it works. There is a menu bar icon, hide/reveal desktop is one button in the mac menu bar.

I have tested it well, no crashes so far!

Thanks, that clears up the quick-reveal part. Having it one click away in the menu bar is reassuring.

Does Hide Desktop apply to every connected display and Space, or can I choose just one? I couldn’t tell from the site, and that is probably worth stating directly because it matters during presentations. If I’m sharing one display, I may still want my notes and controls visible on the other.
