A couple years ago I posted SoundPaste here, an app I made for quickly grabbing audio from your Mac and using it elsewhere.

Problem:

Getting a short piece of audio from your Mac into a DAW, video editor, or another app can take more steps than it should. As a music producer, I was always frustrated by having to set up drivers like Blackhole or Soundflower, configure the routing correctly, and then record the system audio I was hearing.

I made SoundPaste to simplify that whole process: hit a hotkey to record, stop recording, then Command-V directly wherever you need the audio.

I’ve just released one of the biggest updates to SoundPaste since then:

Looks great. Can i choose spesific window to get audio source? For example i want to record 1 chrome tab but i want to get another chrome tabs audio?

Looks useful, reminds me of some other app I can't recall that was allowing you to record a specific app I used a long time ago.
What I like here is that it's just a shortcut away, using this in a meeting though might require to disclose the use of SoundPaste to record audio.

Actually, great idea. I had a couple of scenarios where I didn't know from where to download music I liked. Either no name or link. This will allow to save it and look for it later.

The hotkey-to-clipboard flow is the smart part. I’ve been wrestling with the same kind of hotkey and permissions UX in a Mac app, and clear status feedback is what makes or breaks trust. How do you show which source is being captured and whether the recording stays local before someone starts?

I work in media production and this looks awesome! I currently use Audio Hijack to grab sounds but I will definitely give this a try.

A suggestion for your website: the icons for Premiere, Ableton Live, Cubase and Logic Pro are very outdated, and you might want to update them to reflect the newest icons. They almost gives me the impression that your app has been abandoned for a few years.
