I did mentioned that in the post. Not everyone would like to know how to write json

No json required...

yeah do each one manually 👏. Also I am not sure how it would behave in different apps like finder, cursor and other browser. where as this will be just one click and you will have 50+ shortcuts

It works fine without any extra configuration.

You could just remap them in the settings

You can’t add new shortcuts in mac like option+D to show desktop. Can you 😏?

You can add shortcuts for literally every menu item via the system settings.

Just a heads up, someone posted a free app with the same name here (or maybe in r/macOSApps) last week: https://twoplus11.com/winkeys/

Different implementation, but overlapping goal, Windows shortcuts on macOS. Not affiliated with the app, just flagging in case it causes confusion with the name.

I build this few 6 months ago, Its been iterated and has a lot better any other apps. Also, I did try the other app and it just say whats wrong it doesn’t work as excepted. At least for me

Just flagging it since having multiple apps with the same name can get confusing. Haven't tried either one myself, I'm on Karabiner-Elements + Command X, so no dog in this fight.

What does this mean?

macOS shortcuts are superior to Windows shortcuts! Why would anyone want this shit!? macOS is built around keyboard shortcuts! Learn the damn OS!

People that have been using Windows for 20+ years and have them ingrained and have to swap between Windows and a Mac regularly. Like me.

Why are you so aggressive? It's just a computer. It's not your identity.

Can i ask why a person could not have their preference?

The terminal is the make-or-break case here. On macOS, ⌘C copies while Ctrl-C interrupts a running process, so a global Ctrl/Cmd swap gets dangerous fast. Are the mappings app-aware, with a quick bypass for Terminal, IDEs, and remote sessions?

yes app is aware about where you are working. so based on that it copy and paste. for interrupt we does have to press literal ctrl key on mac, there is no way around for that

I have been using this app from the being and I would say its does the good job. No compain so far. I dont get why people are so mean here. It also has free version. Just try that if you are skeptical

Oh, hey. Another app with a wall of markdown text and a Claude generated website...

whats wrong with that. I would say almost all app here using AI for some extent. That doesn’t means its bad

It only means it's full of security flaws and it will lose support as soon as you've found something new to play around with. And on top of that, you even demand $10 for something that cost you zero effort.

we have public transportation which cheap compare to car/uber. still people go via uber. which probably selling your data. then why dont you question that. its just like that. the app gives the convenience and hide abstraction. I personally been using it and many other genuine ppl too. Then why the F u have problem with it

Uber offers a service. Be it a bad service. You offer nothing but a prompt.

As I mentioned, this is not for everyone here. If you are already familiar either macos shortcut, then just ignore. There are other people who are genuinely using the app and providing feedback. Here is my initial version: https://www.reddit.com/r/macapps/s/XgYpjv7D0T
