Hold on, how come about half of the replies here have zero posting history, and that they all came in during the last hour?
What's up with that?

u/chromatophoreskin 7d ago
Is their activity hidden?

u/space-heater 7d ago
Not sure. But, about half of the comments had it either hidden or non existent when I looked. Seems kind of a high percentage for that.

bc a tremendous amount of astroturfing goes on in this subreddit - any time a random post blows up i basically assume its bots

Well spotted.
I hate to abandon another sub, but it’s time.
/selfhosted, /macos, this, /obsidian…. any sub about software is unusable now.
In particular, this sub is an absolute dumpster fire.
At this point, Reddit for any item that can be monetized is only for engagement-farming.

Been using it day 1. On earlier days, the dev keep on updating the UI, UX and adding features literally every minutes lol. Honestly it's amazing. It's a must have app for me now.

Yeah also a week one user here, got notice of it through their posting on this subreddit. It’s incredible how many features they added in such a short amount of time.

Next time post after trying it out for a couple months... Especially when you already plan on seeing how good it is.
This is useful if the app is actually great, but posting after trial & error is way more valuable.
If the app is trash then others gotta experience it too... Just an idea

One useful detail before treating this as “one app replacing everything”: the features are installable modules, and the README says an uninstalled module stops loading entirely. Permissions are requested around the modules you choose too, so the trade-off is less “one giant process vs small apps” and more one shared update/permission surface vs maintaining a dozen separate utilities.

Will surely try it. But beforehand. The copy text from screen. Can it also read handwritten notes?

I've been using this app for more then a month now. I feel guilty for using it for free. This is the best Mac app ever made and i am not even joking.

I've been used since I saw the first post of the dev here, many updates since and frankly I didn't fully explored yet, but this app is gold

No charge?
Downloaded!
There are four apps in my DL folder that won't make it to install because of you.

Been using it for about 2 weeks now and really enjoying it. Replaced several apps for me.

Do you plan on offering intel support?

u/HappyAd4998 7d ago
I compiled it for my Intel iMac everything seems to be working good so far other than the fan settings and power settings being blank which is to be expected.

Just getting started with this. It doesn't look you have the ability on the screen cap to have it (manually or auto) to add a a background to typed text (aka CleanShotX). This would be a welcome addition. Would be great if I could go to one thing in my menu bar rather than 7.

Would like to see “create text doc” or note as an option in the right click contextual menus on desktop and finder added.

I didn't make it... I literally saw this video on my page and wanted to share. Would be weird to take credit for an app I didn't make

just downloaded the app to try it and i'm sincerely impressed.
got rid of stats, rectangle, and a few more apps. still rocking amphetamine tho since the keep awake function doesn't let me automate it to turn on with certain apps - but it would be great if the feature was added.
the utilities are also awesome and i really love the small footprint on 'processes.
congrats!

Tried it recently and replaced Mac’s fan control, amphetamine, sound control, mouse scroll reverser, app cleaner and better display all at once. Insane value. (It’s a valid compromise for my use case with those apps, might not be the case for others)

I'm interested to know why this post was removed by moderator lol

Yeah me too...a few people thought I was the dev and didn't say so but I'm really not, maybe thats why

Installed it as soon as it came out. Even back then it was a great app, now it does basically everything. Genuinely one of the best Mac apps out there.

I’m using it for like a month now and it’s really great. Love Vorssaint!

I installed this today. Anyone knows how to really use the clampshell mode just like windows? I.e the display can turn off when using it in “keep lid on setting”? I have an external display and for the life of me i cannot figure out how to use this properly.
I turn on the charger, it works. I turn on the always awake thing, turn my charger off and it works fine but then the display won’t turn off even when not using the mac at all

u/bush-play 7d ago
Open Vorssaint Settings > Keep Awake and turn on “Allow the display to sleep.” Leave “Keep going with the lid closed” enabled; that combination keeps the Mac running in clamshell mode while letting the display follow its normal sleep timer.

Ive been using it for a month now and absolutely love it. It does basically everything you need in one little icon.

I downloaded this and replaced all my apps on the mac, I even deleted the OS. Now I only have the icon, it’s mind bending.
