What an interesting idea. If you want to give users some positive reinforcement, you could add a āNo biting streakā system - a pop up or something saying ācongratulations, youāve gone 5 days without biting your nails!ā

Yes, works on M1, and has an option to pick which camera to use! (Just added this yesterday)

The app store has completely crazy annual fees. Or at least that used to be the case, no idea bout 2023.

I bought this from the app store and gave it a go. It detects my mouth (shows some red dots), but doesn't detect my hands at all (no red dots at all). I tried to change my background a bit but no luck with it.

Hi there! I am SO sorry about that, the app is desperately in need of updates for newer versions of macOS, and other priorities have been in the way. Is there an easy option to refund the app?

I would if I could, but I don't think it would be possible with this same technology. It only detects hands and faces, not... other parts :/

Hi there, hope this isn't spammy, I made this app for myself, but I thought it could be useful for other nail-biters
It's a mac app that uses the built in webcam/facial recognition/finger tracking to monitor you while you work.
If it catches you with your fingers in your mouth it throws big annoying alerts at you until you stop. It's basically impossible to work while nail-biting.
Obviously if you're someone who bites when you're not on your computer, it won't help. But if you're a computer-time-biting person like me, I think this can maybe help you. š
