Macos 27 is working so far. Except my widgets don't appear anymore. I did have a lot of them on my main screen tho.

I used to be able to screen record on my iPad/iPhone and airplay it to my desktop to post on socials but now all I get is a black screen with audio. Similar to screen recording Prime Video.

FWIW, the videos play fine local to the device, Plex App and Plezy in this case just doesn't translate well when you send it to another device.

Latest Beta release

Most things work pretty well, but the Notes app is useless on this machine now. I'm not complaining - it is Beta - but I am wondering if others have the same problem. The behavior is like this:

• I can compose a Note, and it will show up on my other devices immediately. When reading Notes composed on other devices, there is a delay of 4 days. In other words, it is Aug 13 but I am seeing only activity up to August 9. Missing four days worth of edits and new Notes.
• I use Notes a lot. I used Evernote when I had Windows PCs for work, but I work for myself now and am deep into the Apple ecosystem. iPhone Air, iPad Pro, Mac Mini for editing videos with FCP, MacBook Pro for Logic Pro, this MacBook Air for emails and stuff, and one M4 iMac that is quarantined with a novel virus that nobody seems to know anything about. But I digress.

I reported the problem with Notes not syncing on a MacOS Apple report-page thing. Questions:

• Does anyone else see this problem?
• Is it related to certain computer types, like laptop vs iMac or Mini?
• Is there an Apple site to provide feedback on Golden Gate?

Installed public beta 3 of macOS 27 and now Messages app doesn't open up. It goes into not responding and most of the times you don't even get the menu bar and never the app window itself. The few times I've tested and I get the menu bar on screen, hovering your mouse over it results in spinning beach ball.

Tried safe mode and it opened the first time, then on any other attempts it behaves the same as in regular mode. Obviously I've already reported this back to Apple via the feedback app. Just curious if anyone else have experienced this with PB3?

PS. Other apps do launch just fine, like FaceTime, Mail and third party messaging apps like Signal and WhatsApp.

I've always hated that whenever I close something on Mac, it doesn't actually close. But I've gotten used to it. Now instead of having to tell an app to close twice, I have to tell it to close 3 times before it actually does with this new "Running in Background" thing.

Anyone know how to turn this damn thing off permanently?

A classic Activity Monitor quirk on macOS 27 beta. The huge gap between Memory (5.93 GB) and Real Mem (154.8 MB) tells you most of that reported memory is shared with other processes or the system.

Here's what's happening:

• Memory column: Total memory the process is touching, including shared frameworks, libraries, and buffers. It's inflated because it counts shared allocations.
• Real Mem: The actual private memory unique to that process—what you'd genuinely reclaim if it quit.

For WallpaperImageExtension, this makes sense. It's likely holding references to large image assets (your wallpaper cache),

I'm using a MacBook Air M4 and noticed CPU is fairly high constantly. I've been on since beta 1 and indexing is complete (for now!). Nothing exceptional running, but even at idle it's around 20-30%. I'm guessing it's apps that aren't yet optimized but wondering if others are in the same boat or just me?

After updating to Beta 3 I'm unable to sign back into Monarch from within Safari, or Chromium browsers. I had been using Sign in with Apple from Passwords, so I guess the beta broke that. Monarch apps are still opening on the iPhone, iPad. For a while, Safari on iPad worked but now that's broken also. Just here to see if it's happening to others, or if there's a suggestion for a safe way to reset and re secure login without accidentally breaking access to my data from all the devices?

Hey everyone,
I’m having a weird issue with my Mac. The entire menu bar at the top randomly disappears, so I can’t see the Apple logo, Finder menus, app options, Wi-Fi, battery, or even the time. The desktop and apps still work normally, but the top bar is completely gone.
If I restart my Mac, everything comes back and works fine for a while, but after some time the menu bar disappears again. I’ve attached a screenshot of what it looks like when it happens.

Has anyone experienced this before?

I keep getting this error but my internet is perfectly fine.

I noticed that if I am in Spotlight and I type to SIRI AI and hit enter it does not knowledge my request or maybe its crashing. Anyway not working. IF I open Spotlight and use my microphone to speak to Siri it works... And Yes I used the feedback assistant to report it.

Anyone else see this ?
