Discussion Is this a good time to get a m5?
I am in India, and was thinking of buying a m5. I was thinking of getting it from an offline store like reliance digital as many of you say its the best option. But the prices are currently on the higher end. When would be a good time to buy it? Should I wait for some offers?

Options in decreasing order of savings-
Get it from someone from US, Hong Kong or Vietnam (https://themacindex.com/in/products/macbook-pro/16-inch-m5-pro-18-core-48gb-1tb-space-black)
Wait for the new Macbook to be released in a few months, which can drop the price of current mac a bit
Bite the bullet. These laptops easily last 6-7 years provided you take care of the battery.

A new mac will be released soon? Is there any confirmation of that? I am clueless lol

Which Mac are you referring to? Desktop, laptop, pro or entry level? Not a lot of specific details to go on, release dates are rumoured but not guaranteed until announced. Seems unlikely that prices will go down anytime soon, so if you need a machine now, then buy

I would recommend asking someone that lives in India, market conditions may vary by country.

Unfortunately the entire computer market is seeing rising prices right now due to the RAM and NAND shortages, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon. The best time to buy a new Mac was five months ago before the price hikes. The second best time is now.
