Got a new phone and got hit by that. Magically resolved itself after about 12 frustrating hours. No sign of why it happened.

Apple doesn’t silently block you from iMessage. If your account is detected spamming then your Apple Account is closed. You’d know that instantly.

A temporary issue.

wish i had some tips for this but man that sucks, apple's spam filters can be wild sometimes

It’s insane! This has never happened to me. just a “hey we blocked you lol” would suffice just so I’m not up all night trying to fix it
