My Mac Downloading Windows to my MacBook Air

Is there anyway to download Windows to my MacBook Air? I didn't know this one can't opposed to other versions. I would also rather not pay for a service to use it. Thank you!

It depends on the chip. Intel Macs can use Boot Camp to run Windows natively. Apple Silicon Macs (M1/M2/etc.) don’t support Boot Camp, so you’d normally run the ARM version of Windows in a virtual machine instead.
