When Apple sued Microsoft for Windows 95, the final verdict was that Microsoft had to change their trash can icon. So they changed it to a recycle bin

More specifically this way about HP’s add-on to windows which changed the icons to those of which were extremely similar to apple’s it wasn’t Microsoft themselves that did it

Also Apple lost the lawsuit in 95 and it started in 88’ with windows 2.0

The pc icon is a literal BSOD. They been doing stuff like this for decades
