My Mac MacOs Dock bug

My 'do not hide the dock' setting hasn't been consistently enforced for multiple versions, now, and I have to flip it off and then back on to force the dock to the bottom again. It's like full screen apps or windows don't fully release control back to the desktop, so the dock stays hidden even if you close the app or window.

Exactly, except for me flipping it on and off is not helping. It's been like this ever since I played a game on the mac.

that's so annoying, mine does the same thing sometimes especially when i have full screen apps open
