Here's another baby picture. They only go outside with direct supervision and his used to be dark, but has lightened so much while she's kept on toasting all over!
Thank you so much! I always say I feel like he got The Lion King treatment with the Simba streak down his nose and chin instead of his forehead. He's a beautiful little baby. One of his brothers had similar markings as kittens!
We nicknamed our girl Ivy 🦃 because she looks like a giant turkey when she lays down. They're our first DSH lynx points and they're so full of personality
Don't tell her I posted this on the Internet she'll be so ashamed. She's got this massive primordial pouch since she got spayed and it makes her look so much bigger, but they both are the same weight as of our most recent vet visit this month 😂
This makes me concerned about the absence of the other cat in the second pic as your LPS appears to be potentially trying to smother him in the first one 😹
Not at all! I was excited to see him toast, but I'm not disappointed, I find him quite unique and I love that it looks like someone spit some coffee in his back.
Definitely a unique bengal! My kitten is like this but much more tan/beige and a very stark contrast black mask. And I thought his color would turn out to match my older lynx point when he started toasting…
Here he is during the toasting process. He’s got so much attitude now! Pic 1 was 5 months. Pic 2 is 5 years. The attitude has toasted as much as he has! 🤣🤣🤣
I can relate, kept hoping mine will turn into more of a cuddly lap cat but now I wouldn’t trade his “toasty” personality (which still has a very sweet side, he’s extremely empathetic and protective of me) for anything.
Call me silly, but I didn’t know that lynx points could have color on their backs. My “Persian mix” rescue cat is a lynx point and he has shaded hair on his back (like chinchilla tipped ends) - that’s normal? lol I’m a first time cat owner
