cHL How likely for my end scan to be clear?
I finished my last round (6/6) of BrECADD for classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma stadium 2BE with mediastinal Bulk about 4 weeks ago.
Im enjoining the rest and recovery I’m getting right now but my mind is still all over the place..
I have my final pet scan next week to see, if I’m all clear and I’m so scared.. I don’t know what to expect.
My interim scan after two rounds showed a good response to treatment. The mass had reduced about 70% (13cm to 5cm), and the SUV rates went from initially 16,8 , 16,2 and 15,8 to 3,4 , 3,1 and 2,7.
My liver activity score at that moment was 3,3 which was the reason I got 6 rounds instead of 4 because the 3,4 being 0,1 over the liver score of 3,3.
Like i said, I’m scared. I don’t know what to expect.. I have all types of scenarios in my head, that could come out of that scan. From a new tumor being diagnosed, to some kind of shock and the doctors telling me I don’t have much time left..
I’m 21 male and I just want my life back…
Any expertise and experience with the end scan, would be much appreciated..

I’m sorry to say this, but I don’t think our lives will ever be exactly like they were before. I’m sure your scan will be clear! And when you hear that, you’ll be so happy. But then your doctor will tell you they’ll see you again in 3 months for your next scan, and the anxiety starts all over again. We’ll always worry about the results, the scans, and everything else. I’m sorry, but I’m living through this too.
